Dr. Nathan Lane

Prior to Oxford, Dr. Lane was an economics professor at Monash University, where he cofounded SodaLabs.io. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a fellow of the Roosevelt Institute, and an affiliate of CESifo.

Nathaniel is a full-time predoctoral researcher with the Industrial Policy Group. His research focuses on topics in historical and environmental economics, with a particular emphasis on spatial econometric methods. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a BSc in Economics from the University of Victoria.

Aswin (also goes by Gian) is an MPhil student in Economic and Social History at the University of Oxford. He holds a BA in International Development from King's College London. His primary research interests are industrial policy and economic development in Thailand.
